Marcel Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Gabriel Trevisan having to interfere. Gilberto Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulão Donato in the 12th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Macedonia's goal looked a bit too open when Wiliam Pena came free, but Gilberto Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Leonardo Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcel Gaspar took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tiago Gabriel Trevisan. Tiago Gabriel Trevisan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Leonardo Leite might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiago Gabriel Trevisan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonardo Leite ran back to his position shaking his head. Vista SC's Tiago Gabriel Trevisan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Gaspar in the 31st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonardo Leite in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiago Gabriel Trevisan saved Vista SC from getting behind. In the 34th minute, Leonardo Leite got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Macedonia's Gilberto Azevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Macedonia from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Vista SC booed when Macedonia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Maria Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. Macedonia's Gilberto Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wiliam Pena in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wiliam Pena to make the kick off. The penalty shot was made by Frederico de Mendonça, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Macedonia's Gilberto Azevedo. 2-1. In the 80th minute, Armando Leal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilberto Azevedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After 82 played minutes Macedonia got a freekick which was hit by Dorian Tavares. In the 92nd minute Armando Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Marcel Gaspar came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Macedonia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcel Gaspar couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew the final whistle, Vista SC could leave the field as winners, despite Macedonia having more of the ball for most of the match.
