Gilberto Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vágner Barbosa in the 15th minute of play. Gilberto Azevedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Murillo Schmidt went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After having played for 23 minutes, Leonardo Leite managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Macedonia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonardo Leite was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Murillo Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Gilberto Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonardo Leite couldn't finish the play. 39 minutes into the match, Vágner Barbosa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gilberto Azevedo, 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Vágner Barbosa made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Adrianinho Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Casjun FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adrianinho Pinheiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
