Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when João Pedro Vidal made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4th minute, Dinei Souza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 8 minutes into the match, Madury FC's goalkeeper Manfredo Faria had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iuri Mangueira. Madury FC's Manfredo Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beto Santos in the 10th minute of play. Dinei Souza struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Roberto Leme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Madury FC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iuri Mangueira got free with Manfredo Faria in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulão Neiva in the 17th minute of play forced Madury FC's goalkeeper Manfredo Faria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Calheiros's Roberto Leme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Pedro Vidal in the 20th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Pedro Vidal in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roberto Leme saved Calheiros from getting behind. In the 27th minute, Madury FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Marquinhos de Medeiros fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of Madury FC booed when Calheiros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marquinhos de Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roberto Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Pedro Vidal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute, Beto Santos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Manfredo Faria. The goal made the score 1-0. Roberto Leme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredinho da Cunha in the 41st minute of the match. Madury FC's Dinei Souza got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedro Luís Furtado got a throw-in 46 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Iuri Mangueira. Marquinhos de Medeiros hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Beto Santos was the one to do the kick off. Alfredinho da Cunha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Roberto Leme made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Madury FC's Germano Custódio got a free kick in the 54th minute. When Carlinhos Peixoto fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Madury FC's protests and gave Carlinhos Peixoto a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 55th minute of the game. One of Madury FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Calheiros:s goal. Alfredinho da Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Calheiros's goalkeeper Roberto Leme, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dinei Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Madury FC's Waldemar Bezerra slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roberto Leme. That made the score 2-1 after 67 minutes of play. In the 71st minute, Madury FC's João Pedro Vidal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Roberto Leme. Roberto Leme yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. After 75 played minutes, Calheiros's Luiz Fernando Koehler shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Manfredo Faria came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Calheiros reached it. When Alfredinho da Cunha came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Madury FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredinho da Cunha couldn't finish the play. João Pedro Vidal might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roberto Leme. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Pedro Vidal ran back to his position shaking his head. João Pedro Vidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Leme having to interfere. When Dinei Souza came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Madury FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dinei Souza couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that João Pedro Vidal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roberto Leme was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Dinei Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roberto Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Pedro Vidal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Beto Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Manfredo Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Waldemar Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Madury FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
