Spectators: 7400 (Terracing: 5613, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 67) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Celsinho Mattos started the match with the kick off. Dedé Meira hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Celsinho Mattos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fortunato Biancone having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Cido Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Dedé Meira came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the E.C Foz Do Iguaçu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dedé Meira couldn't finish the play. E.C Foz Do Iguaçu's Dedé Meira got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dedé Meira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fortunato Biancone having to interfere. If Celsinho Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cido Souza's late challenge caught a E.C Foz Do Iguaçu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cido Souza helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th match minute, Rio Brando de Andradas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cido Souza to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute, Henry Sainz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celsinho Mattos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 27 played minutes E.C Foz Do Iguaçu got a freekick which was hit by Celsinho Mattos. Inácio do Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Dário Cavalcante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the game, Alessandro Neiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. E.C Foz Do Iguaçu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rio Brando de Andradas FC the free kick. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Fortunato Biancone successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Dário Cavalcante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inácio do Vale in the 35th minute of play. If Dedé Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fortunato Biancone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celsinho Mattos in the 39th minute of play. Fortunato Biancone made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dedé Meira in the 41st minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Inácio do Vale to strike the kick off in the second half. Cido Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dário Cavalcante made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Inácio do Vale sent off a good shot on target. Cido Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dário Cavalcante having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Dedé Meira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Inácio do Vale notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of E.C Foz Do Iguaçu's Dário Cavalcante. Dário Cavalcante was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in E.C Foz Do Iguaçu's zone, Inácio do Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dário Cavalcante came out of the goal and Inácio do Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alessandro Neiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Cido Souza was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 80 minutes had been played. If Celsinho Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alessandro Neiva kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubens Pernambucano in the 87th minute of play forced Rio Brando de Andradas FC's goalkeeper Fortunato Biancone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Einar Wall charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Einar Wall the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Rio Brando de Andradas FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Einar Wall hit a great ball. In the 94th minute Dedé Meira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fortunato Biancone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Rio Brando de Andradas FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
