Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cléber do Vale in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivo da Cunha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 10th minute Beto Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 played minutes Anderstrong F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Furlan. In the 13th minute of the match Elias Paraibano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ivo da Cunha skillfully saved the ball. Ivo da Cunha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amílton do Nascimento's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Thunderstruck FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zézinho Vinhas came free, but Guto Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Amílton do Nascimento fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Thunderstruck FC's protests and gave Amílton do Nascimento a yellow card for diving instead. After 18 played minutes Thunderstruck FC got a freekick which was hit by Amílton do Nascimento. Cléber do Vale's late challenge caught a Anderstrong F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cléber do Vale helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Thunderstruck FC's Cléber do Vale got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Bebeto Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Anderstrong F.C.'s Zézinho Vinhas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Guto Toscano. That made the score 1-0 after 30 minutes of play. In the 32nd match minute, Thunderstruck FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bebeto Figueiredo to maneuver through the defense. Anderstrong F.C.'s Ivo da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cléber do Vale in the 34th minute of play. Ivo da Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nilmar Arce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 40th play minutes Beto Paulista shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Ivo da Cunha and just under the crossbar into goal. 44 minutes into the match, Bebeto Figueiredo notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Anderstrong F.C.'s Ivo da Cunha. Ivo da Cunha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Thunderstruck FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Renatinho Furtado made the kick off in the second half. Zézinho Vinhas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Guto Toscano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute Renatinho Furtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guto Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st match minute, Anderstrong F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Furlan to maneuver through the defense. Ivo da Cunha made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Bebeto Figueiredo sent off a good shot on target. If Beto Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bebeto Figueiredo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Ivo da Cunha made a huge save. In the 79th minute Zézinho Vinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guto Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Anderstrong F.C.'s Rodrigo Furlan got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 85th minute of the match Cléber do Vale shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ivo da Cunha showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ivo da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cléber do Vale in the 90th minute of play. If Bebeto Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléber do Vale in the 95th minute of play forced Anderstrong F.C.'s goalkeeper Ivo da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute, Thunderstruck FC's Cléber do Vale dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-6. When the match was over Thunderstruck FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Anderstrong F.C. throughout the match.
