The audience thought a goal was coming when Anselmo Ceresso got free with Alessandro Mesquita in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anselmo Ceresso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alessandro Mesquita having to make a save. Paulo Prestes charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo Prestes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Lendários Boleiros getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Paulo Prestes hit a great ball. Lendários Boleiros's Horácio de Lara got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tiago Aparecido hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute Horácio de Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcinho Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thomás Hoffmann during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 34th match minute, BotaFire FR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomás Hoffmann to maneuver through the defense. If Pedro Augusto Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Horácio de Lara to make the kick off. Emerson Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Horácio de Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lendários Boleiros's supporters rose to their feet, but Horácio de Lara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcinho Figueiredo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Anselmo Ceresso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cipriano Arruda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Alessandro Mesquita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anselmo Ceresso struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Alessandro Mesquita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BotaFire FR. If Horácio de Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Augusto Saraiva took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcinho Figueiredo. Marcinho Figueiredo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 78 minutes, Zé Roberto Corrêa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lendários Boleiros and the BotaFire FR players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 79 played minutes Lendários Boleiros got a freekick which was hit by Zé Roberto Corrêa. In the 79th minute of the match Luisinho Urbano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alessandro Mesquita showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some careless play in the BotaFire FR defense, Horácio de Lara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcinho Figueiredo. The BotaFire FR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcinho Figueiredo should have stopped the shot. If Horácio de Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcinho Figueiredo was a little too slow when Pedro Augusto Saraiva got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 93rd minute. The score was now 0-3.
