Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Noel Neves started the match with the kick off. Reynaldo de Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Ancari's Christiano Quirino got a free kick in the 12th minute. When Noel Neves came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Campestre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noel Neves couldn't finish the play. Eliézer de Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falcão Goiano having to interfere. Aníbal Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Neves in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Campestre's goalkeeper Falcão Goiano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 24th match minute, Campestre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Arruda to maneuver through the defense. After 27 minutes, Rui Arruda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Campestre and the Ancari players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Campestre getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Rui Arruda hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the game, Amílton Oliveira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Campestre's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ancari the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Reynaldo de Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ancari's supporters rose to their feet, but Reynaldo de Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Falcão Goiano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Alves took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aníbal Donato. Aníbal Donato dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 36 minutes into the match, Campestre's goalkeeper Falcão Goiano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reynaldo de Azevedo. In the 37th minute, Jacinto Bueno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Noel Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the game, Rony Abreu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ancari's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Campestre the free kick. In the 40th match minute, Ancari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rony Abreu to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute of the match Campestre got a corner. Ancari's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edinho Tepedino ran over to the corner to take the kick. Campestre's Edinho Tepedino was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Aníbal Donato in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 46th minute of the match Edvaldo Marinho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aníbal Donato skillfully saved the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eliézer de Queiroz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, José Maria Campidelis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 54th play minutes Reynaldo de Azevedo shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Falcão Goiano and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 61st minute of the match João Carlos Tavares shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aníbal Donato showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 67th minute, Reynaldo de Azevedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ancari fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. If Eliézer de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Campestre getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. José Maria Campidelis hit a great ball. 76 minutes into the match, Campestre's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo de Azevedo came free, but Falcão Goiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Jonathan Alves put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Aníbal Donato. After having played for 93 minutes, Christiano Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ancari's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christiano Quirino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
