Ronaldão Cosme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Ladislav Telepovský made a huge save. In the 6th minute, Benedito Freire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elias Cordeiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wellington Vaz went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 14 minutes into the match, JESUS TE AMA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wellington Vaz came free, but Elias Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elias Cordeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wellington Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute Wellington Vaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Cordeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ladislav Telepovský tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Grêmio Santo André fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Grêmio Santo André's Dalmacio Vermudo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 25 minutes into the match, JESUS TE AMA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Oliverio came free, but Elias Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elias Cordeiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arnaldo Nascimento went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 29 minutes into the match, Jeferson Santana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elias Cordeiro. JESUS TE AMA FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jeferson Santana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Andrézinho Bertassis short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Ladislav Telepovský to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 35th minute, Wellington Vaz made a precise shot to the right of Elias Cordeiro. JESUS TE AMA FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Raúl Hermes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ladislav Telepovský having to interfere. Elias Cordeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The Grêmio Santo André fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. Elias Cordeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernani Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. When Ronaldão Cosme came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the JESUS TE AMA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldão Cosme couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeferson Santana got free with Elias Cordeiro in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 85 played minutes JESUS TE AMA FC got a freekick which was hit by Raúl Hermes. Dalmacio Vermudo took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elias Cordeiro. Elias Cordeiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-10. Elias Cordeiro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dalmacio Vermudo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-11 in the 91 minute of play. The supporters of Grêmio Santo André booed when JESUS TE AMA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrézinho Bertassi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raí Neiva kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Grêmio Santo André's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
