Maicon Baiano kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Tião Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Marcelinho Paulista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diogo Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubens Breckenfeld having to interfere. Marcelinho Paulista came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Carona AD's Tião Pena. But to his dismay, Tião Pena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 26th minute, Valdemar Viana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diogo Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubens Breckenfeld having to interfere. In the 32nd minute Diogo Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubens Breckenfeld saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Bernardinho Aparecido fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 40th match minute, Thor F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Custódio to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Bernardinho Aparecido managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carona AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardinho Aparecido was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelinho Paulista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valdemar Viana was extremely unlucky when he, in the 43rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Diogo Linhares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rubens Breckenfeld having to make a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Naldo Nascimento to make the kick off. A collision led to Carona AD getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Marquinhos Trigo hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Thor F.C.'s Roger Souza slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rubens Breckenfeld. That made the score 3-1 after 57 minutes of play. Elano Sampaio charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elano Sampaio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tião Pena scored 4-1 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelinho Paulista, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Diogo Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes into the match, Thor F.C.'s Percival Silveira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rubens Breckenfeld narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thor F.C.'s Marcelinho Paulista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Vale in the 83rd minute of play. After 84 played minutes Thor F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Adilson Cavalcante.
