Thor F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Percival Silveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcelinho Paulista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emerson Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 12th minute, Zé Roberto Corrêa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diogo Linhares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Alessandro Mesquita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st match minute, Thor F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horácio Toledo to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Thor F.C.'s zone, Christiano Cardozo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelinho Paulista came out of the goal and Christiano Cardozo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zé Roberto Corrêa hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Horácio de Lara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Marcelinho Paulista made a huge save. Naldo Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Mesquita having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Horácio de Lara left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lendários Boleiros fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Thor F.C.'s Marcelinho Paulista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Thor F.C. from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson Amaral in the 46th minute of play forced Thor F.C.'s goalkeeper Marcelinho Paulista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thor F.C.'s Marcelinho Paulista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Thor F.C. from getting a goal against them.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emerson Amaral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcelinho Paulista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Lendários Boleiros's Zé Roberto Corrêa got a free kick in the 78th minute. Naldo Nascimento who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Alessandro Mesquita when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Nildo Secco charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nildo Secco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 81 played minutes Lendários Boleiros got a freekick which was hit by Nildo Secco. 84 minutes into the match, Thor F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Horácio de Lara came free, but Marcelinho Paulista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alessandro Mesquita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Naldo Nascimento in the 87th minute. Marcelinho Paulista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horácio de Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute.
