Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eliézer de Queiroz in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcinho Figueiredo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcinho Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliézer de Queiroz in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Ancari's Reynaldo de Azevedo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcinho Figueiredo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 37 minutes of play, Ancari's Reynaldo de Azevedo made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcinho Figueiredo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

If Eliézer de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliézer de Queiroz in the 60th minute of play forced BotaFire FR's goalkeeper Marcinho Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reynaldo de Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Marcinho Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
