Pedro Augusto Severo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 13 minutes, Eliseu Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cachinaoa EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseu Castro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 14 played minutes Clube Salvador City got a freekick which was hit by Célio Almeida. Kléberson Arce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eliseu Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After 23 minutes of play, Clube Salvador City's Luís Gustavo Linares made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dadá Costa was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Clube Salvador City's zone, Hugo Lopes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felippe Tavares came out of the goal and Hugo Lopes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With 31 minutes on the clock, Tony Cosme commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cachinaoa EC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 30th minute. Penalty! Cachinaoa EC:s Dadá Costa showed great skill when he stopped Luís Gustavo Linares:s penalty. If Cláudio Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliseu Castro charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliseu Castro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cachinaoa EC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Eliseu Castro hit a great ball. Dadá Costa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luís Gustavo Linares went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. With his leg Dadá Costa managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Clube Salvador City's Caco Furtado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cláudio Mattos to strike the kick off in the second half. Pedro Augusto Severo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Cachinaoa EC fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Cachinaoa EC's Pedro Augusto Severo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 60th match minute, Cachinaoa EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Augusto Severo to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Clube Salvador City booed when Cachinaoa EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Augusto Severo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Luís Gustavo Linares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dadá Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cláudio Mattos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cachinaoa EC's Dadá Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Gustavo Linares in the 70th minute of play. Dadá Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cláudio Mattos in the 72nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Clube Salvador City's zone, Kiko Tavares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felippe Tavares came out of the goal and Kiko Tavares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Augusto Severo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dadá Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Gustavo Linares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 82 played minutes Clube Salvador City got a freekick which was hit by Vânderson Vaz. Dadá Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cláudio Mattos, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kiko Tavares in the 93rd minute of play forced Clube Salvador City's goalkeeper Felippe Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cachinaoa EC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Clube Salvador City had won, even though Cachinaoa EC had held more of the ball.
