Luisão Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fabiano Viana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 38 played minutes Sampaio Fc got a freekick which was hit by Téo Mello. Luisão Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fabiano Viana in the 41st minute of the match. Nilmar Custódio got a throw-in 75 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Durval Trigo. A collision led to Sampaio Fc getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Virgílio Trigo hit a great ball. Nilmar Custódio made in the 82nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Sampaio Fc's Tomé Mandrak. In the 83rd minute Luiz Fabiano Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisão Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Arnaldo Martins's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but César Furlan was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. The GALAXY RANGERS players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Sampaio Fc from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
