But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sílvio Luís Domingues couldn't finish the play. 18 minutes into the match, GALAXY RANGERS's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Faria came free, but Luisão Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adrianinho Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodolfo Brasil made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnaldo Martins in the 39th minute. Sílvio Luís Domingues hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Sambaitiba's Rodolfo Brasil got control of the ball when Arnaldo Martins tried to sneak it across the goal line.

Edvaldo Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisão Barros having to interfere.
