After some careless play in the Sambaitiba defense, Narciso Dias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodolfo Brasil. The Sambaitiba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodolfo Brasil should have stopped the shot. 18 minutes into the match, Mayhem Sharks's Narciso Dias sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodolfo Brasil narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 19 minutes into the game, Ruy Mineiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sambaitiba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mayhem Sharks the free kick. The supporters of Mayhem Sharks booed when Sambaitiba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruy Mineiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodolfo Brasil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the game, Mayhem Sharks's Osvaldo da Mata nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodolfo Brasil made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Rodolfo Brasil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Dias in the 39th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Sambaitiba's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fabiano de Andrade came free, but Rodolfo Brasil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wellington de Almeida made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Leopoldo Faria sent off a good shot on target. Luís Fabiano de Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sambaitiba were furious when Glauco Montenegro was red carded, 48 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of Mayhem Sharks booed when Sambaitiba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 49 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glauco Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Mayhem Sharks were leading 0-8. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ruy Mineiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rodolfo Brasil didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fachtna Duggan went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-12 was the resulting score. Mayhem Sharks's Fachtna Duggan got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rodolfo Brasil was a little too slow when Luís Fabiano de Andrade got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 0-13. Fachtna Duggan kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When the match was over Mayhem Sharks could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sambaitiba throughout the match.
