Luís Fabiano de Andrade scored 4-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kléber Peres, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in CUIABÁ EC's zone, Luís Fabiano de Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kléber Peres came out of the goal and Luís Fabiano de Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. CUIABÁ EC's Kléber Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Dias in the 25th minute of play. Mayhem Sharks's Narciso Dias was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 27th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. With a little luck, CUIABÁ EC's Kléber Peres got control of the ball when Luís Fabiano de Andrade tried to sneak it across the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, CUIABÁ EC's goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Dias came free, but Kléber Peres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th match minute, Mayhem Sharks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo da Mata to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Luís Fabiano de Andrade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kléber Peres was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game.
