The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, Osvaldinho Tande left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ouricuri FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to Ouricuri FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Armandinho Trancoso hit a great ball. After having played for 11 minutes, Osvaldinho Tande managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ouricuri FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldinho Tande was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Téo Santos fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Star One Team's protests and gave Téo Santos a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Star One Team's Téo Santos got a free kick in the 15th minute. Ouricuri FC's Gugu Vianna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Ouricuri FC from getting a goal against them. Samuel Kruuse's late challenge caught a Ouricuri FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samuel Kruuse helped the player get up and apologised. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Star One Team! A collision led to Star One Team getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Téo Santos hit a great ball. After 30 played minutes Star One Team got a freekick which was hit by Téo Santos. The supporters of Star One Team booed when Ouricuri FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armandinho Trancoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rony Esteves, 34 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 35 played minutes Ouricuri FC got a freekick which was hit by Delfim Cunha. After having played for 36 minutes, Rony Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Star One Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rony Esteves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Osvaldinho Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Madeo having to interfere. Diego Erroman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Gugu Vianna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gugu Vianna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Erroman in the 42nd minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Osvaldinho Tande stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Osvaldinho Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldinho Tande kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 57th minute Téo Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gugu Vianna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Star One Team's Téo Santos got a free kick in the 59th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Star One Team's goalkeeper Gilberto Madeo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osvaldinho Tande. Star One Team's Téo Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gugu Vianna came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Star One Team's Diego Erroman. But to his dismay, Diego Erroman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Osvaldinho Tande managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ouricuri FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Osvaldinho Tande was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilberto Madeo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gugu Vianna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 73 played minutes Ouricuri FC got a freekick which was hit by Delfim Cunha. Ouricuri FC's Gugu Vianna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Porto in the 80th minute of play. Diego Erroman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gugu Vianna having to interfere. Diego Erroman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gugu Vianna having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Erroman in the 85th minute of play forced Ouricuri FC's goalkeeper Gugu Vianna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A throw-in in the 90th minute of the game was made by Armandinho Trancoso with Deivid Maranhense as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Osvaldinho Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Madeo having to interfere. The Ouricuri FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
