The referee felt a red card was in order, 11 minutes into the game, when Luizão Xavier put in a rough tackle. After a rather tough play, PEREBAH FC's Luizão Xavier got a free kick in the 12th minute. Mazinho de Sousa was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 13th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Lúcio Donato charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lúcio Donato the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th minute, Conrado Sanches left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vitoria fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 24th match minute, Vitoria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clóvis Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. Dinei Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 29 played minutes PEREBAH FC got a freekick which was hit by Dinei Barbosa. PEREBAH FC's Vitinho Palmeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natã Cunha in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute, Clóvis Catarinense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Dinei Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the PEREBAH FC defense, Conrado Sanches kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vitinho Palmeira. The PEREBAH FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vitinho Palmeira should have stopped the shot. After the first half Vitoria were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Conrado Sanches hit a great ball. Natã Cunha's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vitinho Palmeira firmly grabbed it by the left post. Clóvis Catarinense's late challenge caught a PEREBAH FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The Vitoria players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented PEREBAH FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
