Serginho Braga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Felippe de Barros made a huge save. After some careless play in the Tabajara FC defense, Carmelo Patxi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Doriva Moreira. The Tabajara FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Doriva Moreira should have stopped the shot. Durval Vidal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Doriva Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sandrinho Abraão kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Durval Vidal during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to PARTENON - RS getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Durval Vidal hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Carlos Eduardo Motta sped through PARTENON - RS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Felippe de Barros. Carlos Eduardo Motta received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Felippe de Barros came out and tried to block the shot, but Carlos Eduardo Motta slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 45th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcinho de Souza to make the kick off. PARTENON - RS's Felippe de Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Eduardo Motta in the 51st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Marcinho de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tabajara FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcinho de Souza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felippe de Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 54th minute of the match Afonsinho Cearense sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Felippe de Barros skillfully saved the ball. Felippe de Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Eduardo Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felippe de Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcinho de Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Carmelo Patxi came free with the goalkeeper in the 62nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Doriva Moreira could save by the left post. PARTENON - RS's Felippe de Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Eduardo Motta in the 64th minute of play. In the 66thth minute of the game Marcinho de Souza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PARTENON - RS's Felippe de Barros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 67 minutes, Marcinho de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tabajara FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcinho de Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Felippe de Barros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcinho de Souza's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. PARTENON - RS's Felippe de Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcinho de Souza in the 71st minute of play. Felippe de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcinho de Souza in the 73rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcinho de Souza in the 76th minute of play forced PARTENON - RS's goalkeeper Felippe de Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Eduardo Motta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Felippe de Barros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. After 79 played minutes PARTENON - RS got a freekick which was hit by Durval Vidal. Carlos Eduardo Motta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felippe de Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Eduardo Motta in the 82nd minute of the match. Carmelo Patxi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Doriva Moreira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. There was no doubt that Tabajara FC were the better team. Tabajara FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
