In the 16th minute Percival Motta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo de Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Tales Lira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Capoeiral SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tales Lira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo de Almeida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Alagoano in the 19th minute of play forced Capoeiral SC's goalkeeper Aírton Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Capoeiral SC's Aírton Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Paulo Oliveira in the 22nd minute of play. Ricardo de Almeida didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcus Alcântara went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Pirarema AD's Baltazar de Souza got a free kick in the 27th minute. If Tales Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonel Alagoano might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aírton Garcia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonel Alagoano ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Pirarema AD getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Luís Paulo Mendonça hit a great ball. In the 36th minute Luiz Paulo Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aírton Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Capoeiral SC's Aírton Garcia got control of the ball when Juninho Negri tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 47th minute, José Maria de Almeida made a precise shot to the right of Ricardo de Almeida. Pirarema AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonel Alagoano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pirarema AD's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Marcus Alcântara scored to the left of an out of position Ricardo de Almeida, making the score, 0-5. When Marcus Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Capoeiral SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcus Alcântara couldn't finish the play. Dedé Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Marcus Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcus Alcântara in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo de Almeida saved Pirarema AD from getting behind. Aírton Garcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Alagoano in the 86th minute of the match. Aírton Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Paulo Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. If Marcus Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Agostinho Medeiros during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tales Lira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
