The audience was convinced that Manuel Vaz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomé de Almeida was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. The supporters of MOCAMBINHENSE SA booed when New City Caxias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Soares didn't get a good kick on the ball.
