With a left leg Mikolaj Kaszubowski saved Aracruz from getting behind. 20 minutes into the match, Aracruz's goalkeeper Mikolaj Kaszubowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tales Lira. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcus Alcântara made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Marcus Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikolaj Kaszubowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Marcus Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Aracruz's Romário de Medeiros got a free kick in the 58th minute. When Tales Lira came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Capoeiral SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tales Lira couldn't finish the play. Giovanni Tasso kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Capoeiral SC's Giovanni Tasso suffered a sore thigh after 64 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romário de Medeiros during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Aírton Garcia successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Aírton Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexey Gyonev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the game, Alexey Gyonev recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aírton Garcia. Alexey Gyonev showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. In the 92nd minute Alexey Gyonev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aírton Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute of the match Aracruz got a corner. Capoeiral SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carlos Augusto Goiano ran over to the corner to take the kick. Bruno Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Aírton Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Aracruz had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
