Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Leonel Alagoano started the match with the kick off. When Doni Salgado came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Laranjal FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doni Salgado couldn't finish the play. Luiz Paulo Oliveira kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. If João Paulo Berger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9th match minute, Pirarema AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Paulo Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the game, Luís Paulo Mendonça was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pirarema AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Laranjal FC the free kick. After 10 played minutes Pirarema AD got a freekick which was hit by Luís Paulo Mendonça. Ricardo de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wellington Salgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th match minute, Laranjal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wellington Salgado to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pirarema AD's goalkeeper Ricardo de Almeida, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 18th minute, Pirarema AD's Leonel Alagoano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 23rdth minute of the game Wellington Salgado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pirarema AD's Ricardo de Almeida was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wellington Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ricardo de Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wellington Salgado, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Wellington Salgado took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo de Almeida. Ricardo de Almeida dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 33 played minutes Pirarema AD got a freekick which was hit by Luís Paulo Mendonça. Wellington Salgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Ricardo de Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Doni Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonel Alagoano succeeded in the game's 41st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Pirarema AD's Luís Paulo Mendonça slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Emerson Matorin. That made the score 3-1 after 45 minutes of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 51st minute, Tostão Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ricardo de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doni Salgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 54 played minutes Laranjal FC got a freekick which was hit by Baltazar Coutinho. If Wellington Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emerson Matorin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juninho Negri in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Laranjal FC's Betinho Munhoz seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Betinho Munhoz the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Laranjal FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Betinho Munhoz had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 59 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Laranjal FC! In the 62nd minute there was a penalty for Pirarema AD. Tostão Melo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Emerson Matorin. 4-1. In the 71st match minute, Pirarema AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renato de Queirós to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the game, João Paulo Berger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Ricardo de Almeida was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Emerson Matorin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Paulo Mendonça in the 75th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Paulo Berger in the 77th minute of play forced Pirarema AD's goalkeeper Ricardo de Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Pirarema AD getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Luiz Paulo Oliveira hit a great ball. 82 minutes into the match, Laranjal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Alagoano came free, but Emerson Matorin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teodoro Prestes was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After a rather tough play, Pirarema AD's Luís Paulo Mendonça got a free kick in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doni Salgado in the 96th minute of play forced Pirarema AD's goalkeeper Ricardo de Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pirarema AD's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
