In the 43rd minute, Genílson Albuquerque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Haroldo de Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Texugo Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haroldo de Alcântara couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Olavo Tavares to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Olavo Tavares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Pedro Vaz was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haroldo de Alcântara couldn't finish the play. Francisco da Mata hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After 94 played minutes Papera got a freekick which was hit by Genílson Albuquerque. Texugo Futebol Clube walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
