Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Inácio Cearense got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute, Wanderson Rosa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vito de Moraes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, Wanderson Rosa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vito de Moraes, 2-0. Josué Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Alex Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Volta Redonda F. Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Alex Amaral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vito de Moraes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Josué Paraíba charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Josué Paraíba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Volta Redonda F. Clube booed when Golden Bladers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josué Paraíba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Golden Bladers FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Alex Amaral scored to the left of an out of position Vito de Moraes, making the score, 3-0. 29 minutes into the game, Inácio Mandrak cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Vito de Moraes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vito de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wanderson Rosa in the 32nd minute of the match. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Wanderson Rosa sped through Golden Bladers FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vito de Moraes. In the 36th match minute, Golden Bladers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vágner das Neves to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Chiquinho Nóbrega managed to get in a good position for a shot. Volta Redonda F. Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Chiquinho Nóbrega was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vito de Moraes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 43 minutes into the match, Golden Bladers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Amaral came free, but Vito de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vito de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Carioca in the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wanderson Rosa to make the kick off. Vito de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wanderson Rosa in the 52nd minute of play. In the 55th minute Josué Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Josué Paraíba notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Volta Redonda F. Clube's Sílvio Simões. Sílvio Simões was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 59th minute, Ronaldinho Dracena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Volta Redonda F. Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. A throw-in in the 64th minute of the game was made by Yuri Pirani with Josué Paraíba as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After 67 played minutes Golden Bladers FC got a freekick which was hit by Yuri Pirani. After 71 minutes of play, Volta Redonda F. Clube's Alex Amaral made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vito de Moraes was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Wanderson Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A sloppy throw-in by Yuri Pirani in the 78th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Volta Redonda F. Clube's Remo Moraes. After having played for 79 minutes, Ronaldinho Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Volta Redonda F. Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldinho Dracena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 8-1 when Wanderson Rosa sped through Golden Bladers FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vito de Moraes. Vito de Moraes came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Volta Redonda F. Clube's Inácio Mandrak. But to his dismay, Inácio Mandrak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-1. In the 88th minute of the match Remo Moraes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vito de Moraes skillfully saved the ball. Vito de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wanderson Rosa in the 89th minute of play. Ronaldinho Dracena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Vito de Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wanderson Rosa in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vito de Moraes saved Golden Bladers FC from getting behind. There was no doubt that Volta Redonda F. Clube were the better team. Volta Redonda F. Clube's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
