In the 2nd minute, Adhemar Veloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 4 minutes into the match, Mulekada United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Olavo Tavares came free, but Clemente Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Haroldo de Alcântara scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Clemente Fontes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Olavo Tavares put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Clemente Fontes. Clemente Fontes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Haroldo de Alcântara's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Olavo Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Texugo Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Olavo Tavares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clemente Fontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro Augusto Rosado's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Vitinho Gonçalves skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 18 minutes of play, Texugo Futebol Clube's Haroldo de Alcântara made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Clemente Fontes was left in no man's land by his defense there! 23 minutes into the match, Mulekada United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adhemar Veloso came free, but Clemente Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Texugo Futebol Clube's Haroldo de Alcântara got a free kick in the 24th minute. The supporters of Texugo Futebol Clube booed when Mulekada United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caco Motta didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the game, Pedro Augusto Rosado lined in a short shot 1-3 behind a frustrated Vitinho Gonçalves. In the 34th minute Batata Fritis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Fontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Augusto Rosado to make the kick off. Haroldo de Alcântara struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Clemente Fontes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Texugo Futebol Clube. An unexpected shot in the 56th minute by Olavo Tavares got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Pedro Augusto Rosado came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Mulekada United FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Augusto Rosado couldn't finish the play. Haroldo de Alcântara might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Clemente Fontes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Haroldo de Alcântara ran back to his position shaking his head. Clemente Fontes came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Texugo Futebol Clube's Olavo Tavares. But to his dismay, Olavo Tavares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Mulekada United FC's Clemente Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olavo Tavares in the 74th minute of play. Mulekada United FC's Clemente Fontes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Mulekada United FC from getting a goal against them. In the 76th match minute, Texugo Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldo de Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Texugo Futebol Clube booed when Mulekada United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Augusto Rosado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olavo Tavares's late challenge caught a Mulekada United FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olavo Tavares helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th minute, Olavo Tavares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mulekada United FC's Clemente Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olavo Tavares in the 89th minute of play. Texugo Futebol Clube's Joaquim de Queirós shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 94th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Clemente Fontes but with some difficulty. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Texugo Futebol Clube eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
