The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Conrado de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro de Godoi having to interfere. Ciro de Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genílson Albuquerque in the 7th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felippe Moreno got free with Zé Pedro Vaz in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Teixeira in the 19th minute of play forced Bultrim EC's goalkeeper Ciro de Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Conrado de Amorim struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Ciro de Godoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Papera. The supporters of Papera booed when Bultrim EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernandão Camargo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felippe Morenos short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Zé Pedro Vaz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hamílton Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Armando Ceresso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd match minute, Papera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvaldo Braga to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Armando Ceresso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Pedro Vaz was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Bultrim EC's Felippe Moreno got a free kick in the 51st minute. If Emanuel Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Conrado de Amorim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Ciro de Godoi made a huge save. Emanuel Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zé Pedro Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Ceresso in the 70th minute of play. Francisco da Mata hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Papera's Emanuel Teixeira got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuel Teixeira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ciro de Godoi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Francisco da Mata dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ciro de Godoi, 0-1. Emanuel Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Conrado de Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Ciro de Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Papera's Emanuel Teixeira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ciro de Godoi narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
