Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Enrique Moraes kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo José Bertassi got free with Zé Pedro Vaz in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 6th minute, Enrique Moraes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Zé Pedro Vaz. The goal made the score 1-0. Zé Pedro Vaz came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Volta Redonda F. Clube's Enrique Moraes. But to his dismay, Enrique Moraes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Wanderson Terra might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sílvio Simões. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wanderson Terra ran back to his position shaking his head. Arlindo Castro's late challenge caught a Volta Redonda F. Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arlindo Castro helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Volta Redonda F. Clube's Ronaldinho Dracena got a free kick in the 19th minute. Enrique Moraes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zé Pedro Vaz came out and tried to block the shot, but Enrique Moraes slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 28th minute. 33 minutes into the match, Papera's goalkeeper Zé Pedro Vaz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albertinho Lima. 42 minutes into the game, Papera's Conrado de Amorim nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sílvio Simões made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

In the 51st minute Albertinho Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Pedro Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enrique Moraes might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zé Pedro Vaz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Enrique Moraes ran back to his position shaking his head. Zé Pedro Vaz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enrique Moraes's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. In the 59th minute, Enrique Moraes made a precise shot to the right of Zé Pedro Vaz. Papera's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. In the 68th minute, Inácio Mandrak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Volta Redonda F. Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. 72 minutes into the game, Genílson Albuquerque was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Papera's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Volta Redonda F. Clube the free kick. After 72 played minutes Papera got a freekick which was hit by Genílson Albuquerque. Ronaldinho Dracena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Pedro Vaz having to interfere. After having played for 75 minutes, Enrique Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Volta Redonda F. Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enrique Moraes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ronaldinho Dracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the game, Francisco da Mata was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Papera's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Volta Redonda F. Clube the free kick. The supporters of Volta Redonda F. Clube booed when Papera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco da Mata didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cido Brito got a throw-in 81 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Emanuel Teixeira. A collision led to Volta Redonda F. Clube getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Ronaldinho Dracena hit a great ball. After 83 played minutes Volta Redonda F. Clube got a freekick which was hit by Inácio Mandrak. Zé Pedro Vaz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enrique Moraes's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. In the 88th match minute, Papera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arlindo Castro to maneuver through the defense. Chiquinho Nóbrega recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Papera booed when Volta Redonda F. Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inácio Mandrak didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the Volta Redonda F. Clube players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
