In the 50th match minute, Cruzeiro esporte clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magno Perez to maneuver through the defense. Narciso Lucas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mariano Eduino came free in the 60th minute and tried to tip the ball over Francisco Valadares, but to the joy of Cruzeiro esporte clube's supporters the ball went over. Jens-Erik Larsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narciso Lucas, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 66 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro esporte clube's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Eduino came free, but Francisco Valadares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. Travinha's zone, Lino Félix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jens-Erik Larsson came out of the goal and Lino Félix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mariano Eduino's late challenge caught a Cruzeiro esporte clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mariano Eduino helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th minute of the match Paulinho Luz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jens-Erik Larsson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jens-Erik Larsson was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Narciso Lucas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Narciso Lucas really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Maicon Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. C.A. Magno Perez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4.
