Hélio Luz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gláuber de Senna hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Hélio Luz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wanderson Pena, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Livramento A.F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Eriberto Campidelis came free, but Hélio Luz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Wanderson Pena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wanderson Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Igor Cerezo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Hélio Luz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hélio Luz came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Itapua AD's Eriberto Campidelis. But to his dismay, Eriberto Campidelis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 35th minute, Igor Cerezo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hélio Luz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After 39 played minutes Livramento A.F.C got a freekick which was hit by Nilton Batista. Hélio Luz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Cerezo, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Wanderson Pena might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hélio Luz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wanderson Pena ran back to his position shaking his head. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Gláuber de Senna made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Livramento A.F.C's goalkeeper Hélio Luz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlinhos Castro. Hélio Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Cerezo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hélio Luz made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Eriberto Campidelis sent off a good shot on target. 70 minutes into the match, Livramento A.F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Cerezo came free, but Hélio Luz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Aníbal Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Igor Cerezo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Aníbal Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Itapua AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aníbal Mendonça couldn't finish the play. Igor Cerezo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hélio Luz having to interfere. If Eriberto Campidelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wanderson Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the game, Aníbal Mendonça recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hélio Luz. Aníbal Mendonça showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Igor Cerezo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hélio Luz came out and tried to block the shot, but Igor Cerezo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 93rd minute.
