Inácio Branco scored 0-2 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hélio Luz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 23rd minute Gláuber de Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Valadares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lino Félix was the one to do the kick off. Magno Perez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Hélio Luz made a huge save. Cruzeiro esporte clube's Inácio Branco was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 56th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Francisco Valadares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedrão Cardoso went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Hélio Luz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lino Félix in the 64th minute. Wesley Matos hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Cruzeiro esporte clube's Luan Souto tried to score from far away in the 67th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Hélio Luz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Naldo das Neves in the 68th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the game, Naldo das Neves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Hélio Luz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 74th minute, Narciso Lucas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Inácio Branco received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hélio Luz came out and tried to block the shot, but Inácio Branco slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 77th minute. Hélio Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Naldo das Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the match, Livramento A.F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Naldo das Neves came free, but Hélio Luz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cruzeiro esporte clube's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
