Alfredão Bueno hit a great ball. 5 minutes into the game, Wilton Rocha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Claudinho Tróia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Júlio de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinho Tróia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilton Rocha in the 11th minute of the match. In the 13thth minute of the game Wilton Rocha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Severo's Claudinho Tróia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredão Bueno during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Maia FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Alfredão Bueno hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Durvalino Pirani made a precise shot to the right of Fábio Corrêa. Maia FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Severo's Claudinho Tróia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilton Rocha in the 23rd minute of play. Claudinho Tróia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilton Rocha's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilton Rocha in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudinho Tróia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tomé Teles took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Claudinho Tróia. Severo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fábio Corrêa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Júlio de Queirós in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Wilton Rocha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudinho Tróia. Severo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wilton Rocha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Severo's zone, Wilton Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinho Tróia came out of the goal and Wilton Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilton Rocha in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudinho Tróia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 43rd minute of the match Marcus Goiano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claudinho Tróia showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilton Rocha in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claudinho Tróia saved Severo from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilton Rocha in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudinho Tróia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Durvalino Pirani made the kick off in the second half. Fábio Corrêa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio de Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maia FC's Fábio Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio de Queirós in the 57th minute of play. Wilton Rocha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Claudinho Tróia made a huge save. In the 59th minute, Dênis Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudinho Tróia made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Hermínio França sent off a good shot on target. Severo's Claudinho Tróia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilton Rocha in the 62nd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Wilton Rocha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudinho Tróia. When Júlio de Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Severo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júlio de Queirós couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Severo's zone, Tony Ribeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinho Tróia came out of the goal and Tony Ribeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 82 in the game by Wilton Rocha from a close distance when the talented Claudinho Tróia managed to make a qualified save. Severo's players were relieved. 85 minutes into the match, Wilton Rocha notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of Severo's Claudinho Tróia. Claudinho Tróia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Claudinho Tróia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilton Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Maia FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
