In the 15th minute Gláuber de Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Valadares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Naldo das Neves took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Hélio Luz to make any attempt to save it. Livramento A.F.C's Hélio Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Lucas in the 22nd minute of play. Hélio Luz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Lucas in the 27th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Livramento A.F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Magno Perez came free, but Hélio Luz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulinho Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Narciso Lucas took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hélio Luz. Hélio Luz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magno Perez in the 64th minute of play forced Livramento A.F.C's goalkeeper Hélio Luz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Livramento A.F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Naldo das Neves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 13-0. There was no doubt that Cruzeiro esporte clube were the better team. Cruzeiro esporte clube's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
