Koray Demirtuğ tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Abel Custódio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Clemente Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Koray Demirtuğ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Barbosa in the 13th minute of play. In the 21st minute Clemente Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Freitas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Koray Demirtuğ made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Arthur Lima sent off a good shot on target. Koray Demirtuğ showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Clemente Velasco to strike the kick off in the second half. Carlos Barbosa scored 1-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Koray Demirtuğ, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Clemente Velasco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Carlos Freitas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arthur Lima during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 61st match minute, Neto FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arthur Lima to maneuver through the defense. When Clemente Velasco came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Chaves EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clemente Velasco couldn't finish the play. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Neto FC's goalkeeper Carlos Freitas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Koray Demirtuğ took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 80 minutes, Clemente Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chaves EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clemente Velasco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nelson Sá struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Koray Demirtuğ didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Neto FC. In the 88th minute, Arthur Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Chaves EC's Carlos Freitas threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Clemente Velasco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Neto FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
