Tenente FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SportClub Laranja Mecanic the free kick. In the 46th minute, Ulysses Magalhães ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dé Secco was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Falcão Meireles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. SportClub Laranja Mecanic's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
