Luan Zanette's late challenge caught a Kings of Leon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luan Zanette helped the player get up and apologised. Cláudio Vides showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juvenal Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Eriberto Vander in the 56th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Metegelo de Piracicaba FC's Ramiro Paraense. Juvenal Torres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wilian Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilian Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 59 played minutes Metegelo de Piracicaba FC got a freekick which was hit by Wilian Costa. In the 61stth minute of the game Mauro Zanette who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Metegelo de Piracicaba FC's Cláudio Vides was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Metegelo de Piracicaba FC booed when Kings of Leon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Juvenal Torres took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Cláudio Vides to make any attempt to save it. Juvenal Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Vides having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Juvenal Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kings of Leon's supporters rose to their feet, but Juvenal Torres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cláudio Vides breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Gildo Carvalho fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Metegelo de Piracicaba FC's protests and gave Gildo Carvalho a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Metegelo de Piracicaba FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Gildo Carvalho hit a great ball. Donato Velloso hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match.
