The audience thought a goal was coming when José Maria Ribeiro got free with Wigalf Borkowski in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 16th minute, Ulysses Magalhães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After taking down the ball on SportClub Laranja Mecanic's corner Joaquim Dracena fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Wigalf Borkowski quite easily take care of the ball. After a rather tough play, Kings of Leon's Hugo Simão got a free kick in the 20th minute. Falcão Meireles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albertinho Chaves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the SportClub Laranja Mecanic defense, Juvenal Torres kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Falcão Meireles. The SportClub Laranja Mecanic fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Falcão Meireles should have stopped the shot. Tiago Gabriel Garcia's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Wigalf Borkowski skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 40th minute, Tiago Gabriel Garcia reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wigalf Borkowski. The goal made the score 3-1. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 46th minute of the game. One of SportClub Laranja Mecanic:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kings of Leon:s goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

Tiago Gabriel Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute, Robinho Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauro Zanette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falcão Meireles having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulysses Magalhães during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Kings of Leon booed when SportClub Laranja Mecanic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulysses Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juvenal Torres scored 3-3 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Falcão Meireles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kings of Leon's Wigalf Borkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Dracena in the 98th minute of play.
