A collision led to Grêmio Imortal getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Cláudio Freire hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Lúcio Proença put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Carlos Augusto Esteves. Lúcio Proença sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute, Carlos Eduardo Leme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Naldo Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Basílio Dantas came free in the 31st minute and tried to tip the ball over Dé Secco, but to the joy of Tenente FC's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. After having played for 34 minutes, Faustão Corrêa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grêmio Imortal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Faustão Corrêa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 44th minute of the game Conrado Bueno made a throw-in which Faustão Corrêa played forward. With a little luck, Tenente FC's Dé Secco got control of the ball when Tião Velasco tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Grêmio Imortal players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tenente FC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Tião Velasco made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the game Conrado Bueno made a throw-in which Cláudio Freire played forward. A collision led to Tenente FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Rafa Oliveira hit a great ball. Carlos Augusto Esteves made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Lúcio Proença sent off a good shot on target. Syd Zanussi kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th minute of the match Basílio Dantas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dé Secco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rafa Oliveira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Augusto Esteves having to make a save. In the 72nd minute, Tião Velasco made a precise shot to the right of Dé Secco. Tenente FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. With a little luck, Grêmio Imortal's Carlos Augusto Esteves got control of the ball when Lúcio Proença tried to sneak it across the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Conrado Bueno in the 82nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Tenente FC's Vito Bueno. Lúcio Proença could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Carlos Augusto Esteves made a huge save.
