The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sérgio das Neves helped the player get up and apologised. If Sérgio das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oranil's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hílton Cosme in the 12th minute. The corner led Oranil's Hílton Cosme to fire away a dangerous shot which Dé Secco despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmílson Catarinense in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dé Secco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The corner ended in Hílton Cosme almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Tenente FC's Dé Secco did a great save. In the 18th minute, Vito Bueno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dé Secco was a little too slow when Kléber Saldanha got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 2-0. Tenente FC's Lúcio Proença got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Lúcio Proença hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edmílson Catarinense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dé Secco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Sérgio das Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Dé Secco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Oranil's Edmílson Catarinense ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dé Secco. Dé Secco yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Dé Secco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmílson Catarinense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lúcio Proença made a kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Kiko Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oranil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kiko Teixeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sérgio Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Dé Secco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sérgio das Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dé Secco having to interfere. Syd Zanussi charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Syd Zanussi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Tenente FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Syd Zanussi hit a great ball. Dé Secco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmílson Catarinense in the 67th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Kiko Teixeira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dé Secco was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Kléber Saldanha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Dé Secco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute Edmílson Catarinense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dé Secco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Syd Zanussi was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 92 minutes had been played.
