In the 12th minute, Luís Gustavo Reis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 18th minute, Falcão Sergipano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elói Terra was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 21st minute, Falcão Sergipano made a precise shot to the right of Elói Terra. Caras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Thanks to some nice moves Luís Gustavo Reis could shoot a difficult shot in the 36th minute, which Cláudio Buffon however easily saved by the left post. Luís Gustavo Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Buffon having to interfere. Luís Gustavo Reis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Cláudio Buffon made a huge save. After some careless play in the VASCO DA ROLA defense, Luís Gustavo Reis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cláudio Buffon. The VASCO DA ROLA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cláudio Buffon should have stopped the shot. In the 48th minute, VASCO DA ROLA's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luís Gustavo Reis fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
