Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Luís Gustavo Reis made the kick off which started today's match. Luís Gustavo Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toninho Loureiro having to interfere. The supporters of Caras booed when BETIMFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo Lira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luís Gustavo Reis might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Toninho Loureiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luís Gustavo Reis ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Caras's Isaltino Montenegro got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute of the match Waldir de Medeiros shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elói Terra showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 17th minute, one of BETIMFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for BETIMFC. When the match had been going on for 18 minutes, Caras's Francisco Amaral got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Toninho Loureiro. 21 minutes into the game, Edmundo Lira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Elói Terra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Caras's Elói Terra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Lira in the 27th minute of play. Elói Terra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean Travassos in the 33rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean Travassos in the 36th minute of play forced Caras's goalkeeper Elói Terra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Gustavo Reis's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Toninho Loureiro firmly grabbed it by the left post. Paulo Meirelles's late challenge caught a BETIMFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Meirelles helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Caras getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Paulo Meirelles hit a great ball. 47 minutes into the match, Waldir de Medeiros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elói Terra. Caras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Waldir de Medeiros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After the first half BETIMFC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jean Travassos to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldir de Medeiros in the 53rd minute of play forced Caras's goalkeeper Elói Terra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Caras's goal looked a bit too open when Waldir de Medeiros came free, but Elói Terra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toninho Loureiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Gustavo Reis in the 56th minute of the match. Caras's Elói Terra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Eduardo Vander in the 60th minute of play. After 65 minutes, Jean Travassos made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Caras's Elói Terra tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 69 minutes into the match, Caras's goalkeeper Elói Terra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmundo Lira. BETIMFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Waldir de Medeiros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Caras's goal looked a bit too open when Waldir de Medeiros came free, but Elói Terra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Waldir de Medeiros hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. A collision led to Caras getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Isaltino Montenegro hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Waldir de Medeiros got free with Elói Terra in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luís Gustavo Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Toninho Loureiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. BETIMFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
