Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Roma Sc's Anselmo Saraiva started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7thth minute of the game Allan Montenegro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Roma Sc's Sidnei Pombal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Edgar Souza sped through CA Boca Juniors's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Angelo Correia. Angelo Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Saraiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anselmo Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Angelo Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 20 minutes, Dida Valadares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Roma Sc and the CA Boca Juniors players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th match minute, Roma Sc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dida Valadares to maneuver through the defense. Sílvio Luís Velloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidnei Pombal having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Sílvio Luís Velloso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sidnei Pombal was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Edgar Souza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Angelo Correia made a huge save. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Sílvio Luís Velloso made the kick off in the second half. Roma Sc's Sidnei Pombal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Roma Sc from getting a goal against them. 54 minutes into the game, Sílvio Luís Velloso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sidnei Pombal. Sílvio Luís Velloso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. In the 57th minute, Patrick Cerezo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Roma Sc's Serginho Tasso got a free kick in the 58th minute. Sidnei Pombal didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when CA Boca Juniors's Edgar Gonçalves shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-4 in the ordered_time% minute. Patrick Cerezo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Toninho Vieira charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sílvio Luís Velloso in the 91st minute of play forced Roma Sc's goalkeeper Sidnei Pombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Allan Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidnei Pombal having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Serginho Tasso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Angelo Correia was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4.
