The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cléberson Freitas during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Basílio Nogueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Otto Clube's Caetano Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fabiano França in the 7th minute of play. Lucas Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Nogueira having to interfere. Oséias Cavalcante hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Basílio Nogueira was a little too slow when Wilton Ramalho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-0. Caetano Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juvenal Porto in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th match minute, Otto Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Pereira to maneuver through the defense. Caetano Mendonça came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Guaramirim-FSCMZ's Luiz Fabiano França. But to his dismay, Luiz Fabiano França quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A collision led to Otto Clube getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Lucas Pereira hit a great ball. Luiz Fabiano França received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Caetano Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guaramirim-FSCMZ's Luiz Fabiano França got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Lucas Pereira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Otto Clube's Wilton Ramalho got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 38 minutes into the match, Wilton Ramalho notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Guaramirim-FSCMZ's Basílio Nogueira. Basílio Nogueira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Juvenal Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Otto Clube getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Lucas Pereira hit a great ball. Luiz Fabiano França fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caetano Mendonça having to interfere. In the 48th minute Juvenal Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caetano Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Fabiano França was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Guaramirim-FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Cléberson Freitas. Nilton Guimarães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Nogueira having to interfere. Caetano Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano França, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. The supporters of Otto Clube booed when Guaramirim-FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oséias Cavalcante didn't get a good kick on the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Osman Ali Nurettin in the 58th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Otto Clube's Nilton Guimarães. After a rather tough play, Otto Clube's Dênis de Medeiros got a free kick in the 61st minute. If Wilton Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juvenal Porto got free with Caetano Mendonça in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Wilton Ramalho put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Basílio Nogueira. If Luiz Fabiano França had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiaguinho Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Otto Clube's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
