Ciro Pimenta kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. If Ciro Pimenta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafael Cerezo in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lenílson Magalhães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luiz Eduardo Romero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lenílson Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Cerezo, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Ballarz's Lenílson Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Cerezo in the 27th minute of play. Doni de Senna charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Doni de Senna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 31 played minutes Ballarz got a freekick which was hit by Doni de Senna. Luiz Eduardo Romero struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Lenílson Magalhães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vila Nova Prudy. In the 34th minute, Rafael Cerezo made a precise shot to the right of Lenílson Magalhães. Ballarz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Zé Carlos Lucas charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zé Carlos Lucas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 37th minute, Zé Carlos Lucas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Júlio Zonta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Hugo Fonseca made a huge save. After 41 minutes, Rafael Cerezo made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Ballarz's Lenílson Magalhães tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Ballarz's Zé Carlos Lucas got a free kick in the 44th minute. Umberto Félix blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hugo Fonseca having to make a save. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rafael Cerezo was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Vila Nova Prudy's Régis de Medeiros got a free kick in the 52nd minute. 55 minutes into the game, Reynaldo Baiano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballarz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vila Nova Prudy the free kick. After 55 played minutes Ballarz got a freekick which was hit by Reynaldo Baiano. After a rather tough play, Ballarz's Reynaldo Baiano got a free kick in the 58th minute. After 60 played minutes Vila Nova Prudy got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Cerezo. Rafael Cerezo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lenílson Magalhães read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Júlio Zonta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hugo Fonseca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Júlio Zonta went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Júlio Zonta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Hugo Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciro Pimenta got free with Lenílson Magalhães in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 79 minutes, Rafael Cerezo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vila Nova Prudy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafael Cerezo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Vila Nova Prudy! If Ciro Pimenta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lenílson Magalhães made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Rafael Cerezo sent off a good shot on target. In the 93rd minute, Régis de Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vila Nova Prudy were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
