The tension between the Vila Nova Prudy and the Nome do Time players grew even worse after the yellow card. 18 minutes into the game, one of Vila Nova Prudy:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ahmed Chipo shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tales Furlan during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Vila Nova Prudy booed when Nome do Time was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tales Furlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute, Luiz Eduardo Romero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Cerezo in the 63rd minute of play forced Nome do Time's goalkeeper Pål Rudkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the game, Valdir Rodrigues was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nome do Time's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vila Nova Prudy the free kick. Valdir Rodrigues hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. With a left leg Pål Rudkvist saved Nome do Time from getting behind. In the 89th minute, Luiz Eduardo Romero made a precise shot to the right of Pål Rudkvist. Nome do Time's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Pål Rudkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Eduardo Romero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pål Rudkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Cerezo in the 96th minute of play. Vila Nova Prudy walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
