Thanks to some nice moves Horácio Linhares could shoot a difficult shot in the 21st minute, which Christiano Castro however easily saved by the left post. 23 minutes into the match, Porongos's goalkeeper Christiano Castro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horácio Linhares. Luís Paulista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Txanton, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After having played for 28 minutes, Horácio Linhares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vasqueiro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horácio Linhares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christiano Castro came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Vasqueiro FC's Enio Veiga. But to his dismay, Enio Veiga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Alfredo Calvino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Luís Paulista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Vasqueiro FC's zone, Marcelo Txanton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Paulista came out of the goal and Marcelo Txanton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Walter-Adrián Samuel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelo Txanton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Luís Paulista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Luís Paulista made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredo Calvino in the 55th minute. If Marcelo Txanton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute Vasqueiro FC were awarded a corner. Murillo Lima went to the cornerflag to take it. Marcelo Txanton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Luís Paulista made a huge save. Marcelo Txanton kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 78th minute of the match Jeferson do Valle shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christiano Castro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alfredo Calvino might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Paulista. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfredo Calvino ran back to his position shaking his head. If Marcelo Txanton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vasqueiro FC's Luís Paulista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Txanton in the 88th minute of play.
