Amadeu Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rômulo Tavares having to interfere. In the 12th match minute, Villa Juniores F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Eduardo Paulista to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amadeu Pinheiro got free with Rômulo Tavares in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Amadeu Pinheiro fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aroeiral SC's protests and gave Amadeu Pinheiro a yellow card for diving instead. Amadeu Pinheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. With a little luck, Villa Juniores F.C.'s Rômulo Tavares got control of the ball when Flavinho Ceresso tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Osvaldo Sá to make the kick off. Osvaldo Sá could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Falcão Duarte made a huge save. Falcão Duarte was out of position in the 98 minute of play, and Carlos Eduardo Paulista capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Carlos Eduardo Paulista really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Villa Juniores F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
