After 11 played minutes Baiao got a freekick which was hit by Genílson Sanches. 12 minutes into the game, Genílson Sanches was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baiao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Livramentense the free kick. Genílson Sanches kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Valdo Arce kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Cauã Quadros scored 0-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christian Magalhães, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Baiao's Christian Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomé da Mata in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of Atlético Livramentense booed when Baiao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvinho Velloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atlético Livramentense's Vitinho de Souza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Livramentense from getting a goal against them. In the 43rd minute, Diamantino Leão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Tomé da Mata managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Livramentense's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomé da Mata was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Magalhães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Christian Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diamantino Leão in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eugênio Bueno to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Diamantino Leão took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Christian Magalhães to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdo Arce in the 56th minute of play forced Atlético Livramentense's goalkeeper Vitinho de Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Atlético Livramentense's goal looked a bit too open when Valdo Arce came free, but Vitinho de Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eugênio Bueno in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vitinho de Souza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Atlético Livramentense booed when Baiao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvinho Velloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erivaldo Tepedino got a throw-in 79 minutes in the game and the ball was received by César de Mendonça. César de Mendonça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Christian Magalhães made a huge save. In the 81st minute, Eugênio Bueno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Baiao's Christian Magalhães got control of the ball when Tomé da Mata tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Baiao defense, Diamantino Leão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christian Magalhães. The Baiao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christian Magalhães should have stopped the shot. 94 minutes into the match, Atlético Livramentense's goal looked a bit too open when Eugênio Bueno came free, but Vitinho de Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Atlético Livramentense left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Baiao.
