The audience thought a goal was coming when Flavinho Ceresso got free with Waldemar Tróia in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Víktor Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Waldemar Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Flavinho Ceresso to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, Aroeiral SC's Flavinho Ceresso made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Waldemar Tróia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Flavinho Ceresso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Aroeiral SC's Víktor Lucas got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Waldemar Tróia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavinho Ceresso, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After having played for 70 minutes, Amadeu Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aroeiral SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amadeu Pinheiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Flavinho Ceresso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Waldemar Tróia was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Amadeu Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Pedro Botelho hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Waldemar Tróia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavinho Ceresso, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. João Paulo Souto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Falcão Duarte having to make a save. After having played for 96 minutes, Flavinho Ceresso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aroeiral SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavinho Ceresso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Aroeiral SC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ice Boys Football had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
