Spectators: 7536 (Terracing: 5653, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 150) Aroeiral SC's Víktor Lucas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Santo André FC booed when Aroeiral SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armandinho Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patrick Gomes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dário Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Falcão Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute of the match Armandinho Alvarenga sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Clóvis Talló skillfully saved the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Santo André FC's Denílson Garcia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Falcão Duarte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dário Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Falcão Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clóvis Talló made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavinho Ceresso in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Duarte Meira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santo André FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aroeiral SC the free kick. Duarte Meira hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. When Víktor Lucas came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Aroeiral SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Víktor Lucas couldn't finish the play. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Falcão Duarte successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Víktor Lucas in the 33rd minute of play forced Santo André FC's goalkeeper Clóvis Talló to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Santo André FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Santo André FC's Patrick Gomes was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 44th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Patrick Gomes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Denílson Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santo André FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denílson Garcia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 51st minute Patrick Gomes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falcão Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clóvis Talló showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Víktor Lucas in the 53rd minute of the match. Falcão Duarte was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Aroeiral SC's Amadeu Pinheiro got a free kick in the 75th minute. Flavinho Ceresso struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Clóvis Talló didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aroeiral SC. Víktor Lucas's late challenge caught a Santo André FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Víktor Lucas helped the player get up and apologised. After 80 played minutes Aroeiral SC got a freekick which was hit by Víktor Lucas. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Víktor Lucas in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clóvis Talló saved Santo André FC from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flavinho Ceresso got free with Clóvis Talló in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 88 played minutes, Santo André FC's Bruninho Pimenta shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Falcão Duarte came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Santo André FC reached it. Aroeiral SC's Falcão Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dário Bueno in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Denílson Garcia made a precise shot to the right of Falcão Duarte. Aroeiral SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Dário Bueno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falcão Duarte having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Santo André FC had played much better football throughout.
